Refund policy

🔄 Ooft Industries Refunds & Returns Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase, but as a parts supplier, we have to apply clear rules around returns and refunds. Please read the below carefully before placing your order.


❌ Change of Mind Returns

  • We do not accept returns simply because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong item, or found the item elsewhere.

  • Please make sure the parts you're ordering are correct for your vehicle and compatible with your needs before checkout.

  • In rare cases where a return is accepted outside of these terms (at our discretion), a 15% restocking fee will apply, and the item must be:

    • Unused and in original packaging;

    • Returned at your expense;

    • Received by us within 14 days of approval.


💳 Refund Deductions for Cancelled Orders

If you cancel an order that was paid using third-party payment platforms (such as Afterpay, Zip, PayPal, or eBay), a 6% processing fee may be deducted from your refund. This covers non-refundable fees charged to us by these platforms.

✅ Switching to another product with us instead? No cancellation fee will apply.


🛠 Faulty or Damaged Items

If your product is defective or arrives damaged, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, in accordance with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

You must:

  1. Contact us as soon as the issue is identified.

  2. Provide your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photos if applicable.

  3. Return the product to us if required.

If the claim is approved, we will:

  • Cover the return shipping costs;

  • Either send you a replacement, repair the item, or refund the purchase price (including any processing fees originally charged).


 Your Consumer Rights

We follow the Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees your right to:

  • A refund or replacement for a major fault;

  • A repair or replacement for a minor fault;

  • Fair handling of warranty claims (if applicable).

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. Nothing in this policy overrides those rights.


🚫 What’s Not Covered

  • Incorrect fitment due to buyer error.

  • Any damage resulting from misuse, modification, or improper installation;

  • Claims made after a reasonable period or without evidence.


📦 Return Shipping Costs & Restocking Fees

  • If your return is due to a fault or problem covered by the ACL, we’ll cover the return shipping.

  • If the return is not approved or not covered, you are responsible for return shipping.

  • If returning an item for any other reason (and we have approved the return), you are responsible for shipping, and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund

📩 How to Start a Return

  1. Email us at ooft@ooftindustries.com.

  2. Include your order number, reason for return, and any evidence (e.g. photos);

  3. Wait for return approval and instructions before sending anything back.


🔧 Warranty (if offered)

We may offer specific warranties for some products — these will be clearly stated on the product page. If applicable, warranty terms will be handled in line with both the warranty and your consumer rights.
